'Psalm 28:6 - 9'

Psalm 28:6-9 NAS
Blessed be the Lord,
Because He has heard the voice of my supplication.
The Lord is my strength and my shield;
My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped;
Therefore my heart exults,
And with my song I shall thank Him.
The Lord is their strength,
And He is a saving defense to His anointed.
Save Your people and bless Your inheritance;
Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.

Sometimes, it's such a small portion of Scripture that causes my heart to praise my King...

Blessed be the Lord...
Thank You, Lord...

Because He has heard the voice of my supplication...
Thank You for always HEARING Your children—our cries, our pleas, our requests, our praises...

The Lord is my strength...
With You as our strength, we have sufficient strength, Father...

And my shield...
You are shielding us—we are always wrapped in Your protecting arms, and everything that comes our way comes through You first...

My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped...
We trust You, Lord—Your Word, Your Spirit, and Your presence are our source of help...

Therefore my heart exults, and with my song I shall thank Him...
How can our hearts not exult when we think on these things, Lord? Let our Christ-like thoughts, words, and deeds be the “song” we use to “thank” You...

The Lord is their strength...
Jesus, be our STRENGTH! Stop us from trying to handle things on our own, using our own wisdom and puny power...

And He is a saving defense...
You as our defense is the ONLY defense we need...

Save Your people and bless Your inheritance...
Lord Jesus: Thank You for SAVING us! Your blood has saved and eternally BLESSED Your inheritance!

Be their shepherd also, and carry them forever.
Thank You for being our GOOD Shepherd, Lord—help us willingly FOLLOW You each day! We—Your children—trust and depend upon You as we are “forever” carried in Your loving arms!

AMEN!!!
