'Have You Never Heard or Understood?'

Isaiah 40:28a NLT
Have you never heard or understood? Don't you know that the Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the earth?

Isaiah 40:21,8, 1 Peter 1:25
Have you never heard or understood? Are you deaf to the Words of God—the Words He gave before the world began? Are you so ignorant? The grass withers, and the flowers fall away, but the Word of the Lord stands forever! And that Word is the Good News that was preached to you!

Heavenly Father, my prayer for us Believers is twofold today...

First of all, help us to remember and understand who You are. Specifically, help us —at all times—to trust and know that You are “the everlasting God, the Creator of the earth,” the One who “NEVER grows faint of weary! No one can measure the depths of His understanding!” Moreover, help us remember that You are “He” who “gives power to those who are tired and worn out; He offers strength to the weak. Even youths will become exhausted, and young men will give up. But those who wait on the Lord will find new strength. They will fly high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint” (Isaiah 40:28b-31). Open our ears, Lord, so we hear You say to us, “I, even I, am the One who comforts you. So why are you afraid...?” Have you “forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the One who put the stars in the sky and established the earth? Will you remain in constant dread...? Will you continue to fear...? Soon all you captives will be released! Imprisonment, starvation, and death will not be your fate” (Isaiah 51:12-14)! “Christ has RESCUED ” you “from the curse pronounced by the law” (Galatians 3:13)! “He has RESCUED (You) from the kingdom of darkness and transferred(you) into the Kingdom of His dear Son” (Colossians 1:13)! “He...has RESCUED (you) form the terrors of the coming judgment” (1 Thessalonians 1:10)! AMEN!!!

Second, I ask that we Believers not be “deaf” to Your Words—“the Words (You) gave before the world began!” Specifically, help us know, Lord, that we will stumble when we “do not listen to God's Word or obey it, and so” meet our “fate!” “But (we) are not like that, for (we) are a chosenpeople! (We Believers) are a kingdom of priests, God's holy nation, His very own possession! This is so (we) can show others the goodness of God, for He called (us) out of the darkness into His wonderful light” (1 Peter 2:8b-9)! You “have put (Your) words in (our) mouth and hidden (us) safely within (Your) hand. (You) have set all the stars in space and established the earth. (You are) the One who says (to us)...'You are MINE!' ” (Isaiah 51:16).

On account of our hearing and understanding You (and Your Words!), may our hearts confidently declare, “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be dismayed! Therefore I have set my face like a stone, determined to do His will! And I know that I will TRIUMPH! He who gives me justice is near. See, the Sovereign Lord is on my side” (Isaiah 50:7-8a,9a)! I will“fear the Lord and obey” Him! I will “trust in the Lord and rely on (my) God” (Isaiah 50:10)!
