'The Rock'

Matthew 7:24-25 NAS
Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the Rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the Rock.

Psalm 61:1-5
From the end of the earth I call to You when my heart is faint; lead me to the Rock that is higher than I. For You have been a refuge for me, a tower of strength against the enemy. Let me dwell in Your tent forever; let me take refuge in the shelter of Your wings.
For You have heard my vows, O God; You have given me me the inheritance of those who fear Your name.

Psalm 91:15-16
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With a long life I will satisfy him and let him see My salvation.

Psalm 92:15b
He is my Rock...

Psalm 91:2
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!”

Funny thought...

Reading Scripture about the Lord as “my Rock” reminded me of my husband calling me the family “rock” the other day. He called me this as a compliment because I was taking care of all our family's sick folk as well as doing all my other “mom/teacher/housewife” jobs. Truly, I'm nothing like “The Rock,” however...

“The Rock” Jesus who is THE solid foundation that can never be washed away or destroyed...
“The Rock” Jesus who is greater, stronger, and “higher” than any person, any situation, any thing..
“The Rock” Jesus who “is a refuge” for ALL who come to Him...
“The Rock” Jesus who is “a tower of strength” for those who love Him...
“The Rock” Jesus who lets us “take refuge in” His “shelter” all the time...
“The Rock” Jesus who always hears us...
“The Rock” Jesus who gives the Believer eternal “inheritance” and “salvation”...
“The Rock” Jesus who “answers” us...
“The Rock” Jesus who is always “WITH” us “in trouble”...
“The Rock” Jesus who “rescues” and “honors” His Children...

Friends in Christ...I'm no “rock,” but JESUS is the solid “ROCK” on which we all can STAND!

Joyfully declare the Lord Your all-sufficient “Rock,” today, Beloved! He is your and “my Rock...(our) refuge and (our) fortress, (our) God, in whom (we) trust!” All other ground is sinking sand!

AMEN!!!
