'The Eternal God'

Deuteronomy 33:27a NLT
The eternal God is your refuge, and His everlasting arms are under you...

This morning I watched raindrops fall into the temporary “pond” that has formed in our backyard. Every raindrop that entered the water formed a perfect circle. Those perfect circles—shapes with no beginning and no end—they covered every inch of my murky, messy, temporary “pond.” Those circles reminded me of a pastor who once said, “God and His eternal nature is just like the circle shape—no beginning, no end.” Now those words and my pond circles have me thinking about “eternal God”...

“The eternal God” who “From eternity” has been God: “there is NONE who can deliver out of (His) hand; (He acts) and who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:13)

“The eternal God” who makes “eternal” decrees that cannot be crossed (Jeremiah 5:22)...

“The eternal God” who has “set eternity in” the hearts of men (Ecclesiastes 3:11)...

“The eternal God” who has “eternal purpose” (Ephesians 3:11)...

“The eternal God” who sent and gave us His “eternal” Son—calling the Child “Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace” (Isaiah 9:6-7)...

“The eternal God” who so “loved the world...that whoever believes in (His Son) should not perish, but have eternal life” (John 3:16)...

“The Eternal God” who in Jesus “became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation” (Hebrews 5:9)

“The Eternal God” who has “saved us and called us...not according to our works, but according to His own (eternal) purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity” (2 Timothy 1:9)...

“The Eternal God” who gave us “the blood of Christ... to cleanse (our) conscience from dead works (so we can) serve the living God” (Hebrews 9:14)...

“The Eternal God” who gives those who believe “an eternal gospel to preach” (Revelation 14:6)...

“The eternal God” whose Son's kingdom will be eternal, “forevermore” (Isaiah 9:7)...

“The eternal God” who is “producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison”—He makes this “weight of glory” out of our “momentary, light” afflictions. His eternal purpose covers our murky, messy ponds (2 Corinthians 4:17)...

“The eternal God is (our) refuge, and His everlasting arms are under” us...

Beloved, go out today rejoicing in and proclaiming your “eternal God,” growing “in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To HIM be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity” (2 Peter 3:18): Your “eternal God” is your “refuge, His “everlasting arms are under you,” and His “eternal purpose” has you COVERED!

AMEN!
