'Eternal Blessings'

1 Chronicles 17:27b NLT
For when You grant a blessing, O Lord, it is an eternal blessing!

1 Chronicles 17:27 is the ending of one of David's prayers of thanks to God. This verse caught my attention last night because it reminded me 1) that our Lord not only sustains us daily, 2) that our Lord not only gives us “His mercies” fresh “each day” (Lamentations 3:23), 3) but that our Lord gives us the most amazing ETERNAL BLESSINGS! That is...

Our Lord, He “lives in ETERNITY” (Isaiah 57:15)!

Our “Lord reigns as King forever” (Psalm 29:10)! He will never be dethroned! He will ALWAYS reign and will ALWAYS be in control!

Through faith in Christ, we have an “everlasting Father” who loves us and won't ever leave us or run out on us (Isaiah 9:6)!

His government and its peace will never end” (Isaiah 9:7)!

Our God is a God of “eternal” plans! He Has eternal plans for us, and His BIG “eternal plan” was “carried out through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ephesians 3:11).

The free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23)!

Jesus “is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through Him” (Hebrews 7:24)!

We have “the perfect High Priest forever” (Hebrews 7:28)! “God qualified (Jesus) as a perfect High Priest, and He became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey Him” (Hebrews 5:9)!

Jesus “gives eternal life to each one (God has) given Him” (John 17:2)!

God...has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly (eternal!) realms because we are united with Christ” (Ephesians 1:3)!

Jesus is “with (us) always” (Mathew 28:20)!

His Holy Spirit “will NEVER leave” us (John 14:16)!

Jesus “lives forever to intercede with God on (our) behalf” (Hebrews 7:25)!

Our temporary “present troubles...produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever” (2 Corinthians 4:17)!

Our Father gave us “eternal Good News to proclaim to the people who belong to the world—to every nation, tribe, language, and people” (Revelation 14:6)! That Good News message will never change, and it will always save those who respond to it!

Brothers and sisters in Christ: praise God today because when He grants “a blessing, it is an eternal blessing!” “All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen One who never dies; He alone is God! Amen”  (1 Timothy 1:17)!

AMEN!!!
