'Faithful (Set Apart) Servant for Himself'

Psalm 4:3a NIV
Know that the Lord has set apart His faithful servant for Himself...

Psalm 4:3 reminded me of a conversation I just had with a friend. She recently spent her day doing for and serving someone else. She hadn't initially wanted to spend her day as she had, but she agreed to the task because “life isn't about” what she wants to do, or how she wants to spend her day; rather; her life is to be about what her Lord wants her to do, how HE wants her to spend her day...

Her words reminded me that “The Lord has set apart” His people, folks: He has set us Believers apart to be “faithful servants for Himself.” Don't forget that today (every day!)! You have been “set apart,” beloved. You are not your own. You've been bought at a price. You have been “set apart” to be “His faithful servant!”

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
You are “a new creation! The old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
“God made Him who had no sin to be sin for (you), so that in Him (you) might become the righteousness of God!” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
“Make it (your) goal to please Him!” (2 Corinthians 5:9)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
You are to “reflect the Lord's glory...being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
May “Christ's love” compel you, “that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for Him who died for them and was raised again.” (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
You are “God's fellow workers!” (2 Corinthians 6:1)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
“Purify (yourself) from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.” (2 Corinthians 7:1)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:”
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (Colossians 3:23-34)

“Faithful (set apart) servant for Himself:” remember, “KNOW,” speak, and DO as one “the Lord has set apart!” You are “His faithful servant for Himself!”

AMEN!!!
