'Psalm 18:35-36'

Psalm 18:35-36 NLT
You have given me Your shield of victory.
Your right hand supports me;
Your help has made me great.
You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

Consider these two simple verses today, so You walk confidently in God's “shield of victory:”

“You have given me Your shield of victory:”
“But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57)! “God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure” (Ephesians 1:5). “For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And having called them, He gave them right standing with Himself. And having given them right standing, He gave them His glory. What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love” (Romans 8:29-31, 38). We Believers have an impenetrable “shield of victory” through faith in Christ...given to us by God Himself!

“Your right hand supports me:”
“I cling to You; Your strong right hand holds me securely“ (Psalm 63:8). “Though I am surrounded by troubles, You will protect me from the anger of my enemies. You reach out Your hand, and the power of your right hand saves me“ (Psalm 138:7). “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from Me, for My Father has given them to Me, and He is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand“ (John 10:28-29).

“Your help has made me great.”
“They did not conquer the land with their swords; it was not their own strong arm that gave them victory. It was Your right hand and strong arm and the blinding light from Your face that helped them, for You loved them“ (Psalm 44:3). “Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with My victorious right hand“ (Isaiah 41:10). “For I hold you by your right hand—I, the Lord your God. And I say to you, ‘Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you“ (Isaiah 43:13).

“You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping:”
“This is what the Lord says—your Redeemer... 'I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow'” (Isaiah 48:17). “This is what the Lord says: 'Stop at the crossroads and look around. Ask for the old, godly way, and walk in it. Travel its path, and you will find rest for your souls” (Jeremiah 6:16). God's “Word is a lamp to guide (your) feet and a light for (your)path" (Psalm 119:105). “Stay on the path that the Lord your God has commanded you to follow" (Deuteronomy 5:33a). “For those who are righteous, the way is not steep and rough. (He is) a God who does what is right, and (He) smooth(s) out the path ahead of them“ (Isaiah 26:7).

Heavenly Father, what a wonderful father You ARE! Thank You for giving us Believers “Your shield of victory!” Thank You for supporting us with “Your right hand!” Thank You for Your CONSTANT “help!” In Your Son's name, we ask You to grow our ability to “follow (Your WIDE) right path!” (2 Chronicles 6:27)!
